  1. Who can register with ChildCareNetwork.ca?
All commercial and home-based daycare centres are encouraged to enroll.

  2. Who is this site designed for?
This site aims to provide parents with a resource to find local child care while offering child care providers a national database of daycares in which to promote their child care services.

  3. How much does it cost?
The annual registration fee is waived until January 1st, 2011 in order to allow you to trial our site free of charge. Effective January 2011, the annual fee is $25 + GST. This fee is lower than any daily classified ad!

  4. What does the annual enrollment fee include?
By enrolling, you will have access to your own personal web page, printable business cards, and the ability to update your information at any time at no charge.

  5. Can I claim the annual enrollment fee as an expense on my income tax?
Yes, the Canadian Revenue Agency states that you can deduct any reasonable expenses you incur to earn your day-care income on your income tax return. This includes the cost of advertising your daycare in Canada. For more information on claiming business expenses, visit CRA at: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pub/tg/p134/p134-e.html#P98_5077

  6. What makes your site different from others?
Our goal is to become Canada’s first national database of child care providers. We offer two types of services.

    Parents can:
    • search our database of daycares using their postal code, city name, or daycare name
    • use our comparative analysis feature to compare a number of daycares simultaneously – this is an invaluable tool for parents
    • find useful information on child care expenses, subsidies, and interviewing daycares

    Daycare providers are able to:
    • have the opportunity to promote their businesses in a centralized online database
    • align themselves as a competitor in their industry
    • improve the professionalism of their daycare through their own personalized website page, printable business cards, and access to advertising in all major newspapers

  7. Why should I enroll my daycare?
Child care in Canada has been a very hot topic recently and up until now, there have not been many resources to help parents find child care. Our goal is to become Canada’s first national database for child care providers. Parents will use our site because they can quickly find daycares that match their criteria. By enrolling, you are positioning your daycare as a competitor in this vital industry while you take advantage of the services of this website to improve the professionalism of your business.

  8. What if I would like to make changes to my information?
Making changes to your daycare’s information is easy. Simply click on Member Login from the Daycare Providers Menu and enter your username and password. Each daycare has personalized login information so please have this information available.

  9. What if I misplace my daycare’s login information?
Simply email us at and we will reply with your information.

  10. How will you advertise your website to parents?
When we developed this site, not only did we want to offer a service to parents, but we wanted to promote the services of child care providers as well. The work that you do is so important to families that we encourage you to promote your business and be proud. That is why we want ChildCareNetwork.ca to become a household name as a child care resource. We plan to advertise our site in all the major newspapers and register it online with major internet search engines. We are very confident that when families realize how easy our site is to use, word will spread quickly. Let us do the advertising for you!

  11. What if I find a problem?
If you find a problem with our site or wish to make a suggestion on how to improve the site, please contact our webmaster at
